Kisumu Eco Warriors was formed by a group of passionate young people who saw the growing environmental challenges in our communities and decided to take action. Despite limited resources, our members have voluntarily organized community clean-up exercises, cleared blocked drainage systems to reduce flooding and disease outbreaks, and participated in tree-planting activities to promote environmental conservation and combat climate change. Through these activities, we have witnessed firsthand the positive impact that collective community action can create. Cleaner neighborhoods have improved public health, drainage cleaning has reduced stagnant water and waste accumulation, and tree planting has contributed to a greener and healthier environment for future generations. However, our ability to expand and sustain these initiatives is limited by a lack of funding. The support we are seeking will help us acquire essential tools, protective equipment, tree seedlings, waste collection materials, transportation, and community awareness resources. It will also strengthen our organizational capacity as we transition into a formally registered community-based organization. The people involved include dedicated youth volunteers, community members, local leaders, and environmental champions who are committed to creating lasting change. With adequate funding, Kisumu Eco Warriors will be able to reach more communities, conduct larger environmental conservation programs, empower more young people through volunteer opportunities, and create a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable future for everyone. Every contribution made towards our organization will directly support practical environmental action and help transform communities through youth-led leadership, conservation, and community service.
